Cristian Garin v Alex De Minaur

Alex De Minaur overcame Liam Broady in straight sets in the last round and may repeat the trick against Cristian Garin, who has done well to reach this far but would still be seen to better effect on a slower surface. De Minaur has won all three previous meetings with Garin in straight sets, which includes on the grass of Eastbourne two weeks ago when he ran out a convincing 6-3 6-3 victor.

Brandon Nakashima v Nick Kyrgios

Nick Kygrios may have his own ideas about the game but the eccentric Australian looks hungry for success at Wimbledon and should be able to easily overcome Brandon Nakashima. Kyrgios looked good in beating round two opponent Filip Krajinovic and backed that up with a four-set success over Greek fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. This doesn’t appear any tougher and a reproduction of those performances would see him prevail.

Jason Kubler v Taylor Fritz

Taylor Fritz warmed up for Wimbledon with a title success in Eastbourne and the improving American may have too many weapons for world number 99 Jason Kubler. The Australian has had an excellent tournament, coming through three qualifiers as well as three games in the main draw, but Fritz is currently a cut above the opposition he has been coming up against.

Botic van de Zandschulp v Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal took this season's first two Grand Slam titles in Australia and France and he delivered his most convincing performance of this year's Wimbledon last time out in a straight-set win over Lorenzo Sonego. The super Spaniard should readily outclass Botic van de Zandschulp, who he overcome 6-3 6-2 6-4 at Roland Garros in May.

Paula Badosa v Simona Halep

2019 Wimbledon champion Simona Halep has made serene progress at the All England Club this year and the Romanian can find a way past Paula Badosa. Halep has now lost only one of her last 17 completed matches on the grass, with her only defeat in that time coming to Beatriz Haddad Maia in the semi-finals in Birmingham last month, and she looks serious title contender this year.

Elena Rybakina v Petra Martic

Elena Rybakina has dealt well with a tough schedule at Wimbledon and having recorded straight-set wins over Coco Vandeweghe, Bianca Andreescu and Qinwen Zheng, the 23-year-old from Kazakhstan should be optimistic about her chances against Petra Martic, who started the tournament 57 places below in the world rankings.
