Preview

Salford superstar Jackson Hastings is 10-1 to add the Harry Sunderland trophy for Grand Final man of the match to the Man of Steel accolade he picked up last weekend.

With the Red Devils huge underdogs, the Australian may have to follow in the footsteps of Warrington’s Stefan Ratchford, who won individual honours in a losing cause 12 months ago.

Hastings believes St Helens stand-off Jonny Lomax is the best player in Super League and it may be worth supporting him to prove it by being named man of the match at an appealing 5-1.

Saints full-back Lachlan Coote also looks a decent wager. He was man of the match when last lining up against Salford and will be desperate to make up for a disappointing Challenge Cup final performance.

One of the bets of the day could well be to back referee Chris Kendall to keep his cards in his pocket.

Hills go 4-6 that no player is sent to the sin bin, which is a huge price bearing in mind there has never been a yellow card in a Grand Final.

Saints are no sinners. Just four yellows have been shown to their players this year, while Salford have picked up seven.

It’s 10-1 that a red card is shown for only the second time in a Grand Final.
