Boris Johnson favourite to succeed Theresa May after PM agrees exit plan
Dominic Raab second in the market on replacement
Boris Johnson is favourite to replace Theresa May as leader of the Conservative party after the Prime Minister agreed to set a timetable for the election of her successor.
May said plans will be put in place after the next vote on the EU Withdrawal Bill, which is likely to be in the first week of June.
Johnson was cut from 7-2 to 3-1 but there has also been support for second favourite Dominc Raab, who is a best-priced 13-2 but only 5-1 in places.
Michael Gove (10-1) and Jeremy Hunt (11-1) are on the drift.
Johnson is 4-1 to be the next Prime Minister with Raab 9-1 and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn 10-1.
May is 1-50 from 30-100 to leave this year after Thursday's announcement.
The Conservatives are 200-1 to get the most seats in next week's European Parliament elections. The Brexit Party are 1-10 with Labour 9-1 and the Liberal Democrats 33-1.
Betfred have cut their price on the UK leaving the EU without a deal in place from 9-2 to 4-1 but a no-deal exit is 11-2 with Betfair and Paddy Power.
