Brazilian Grand Prix practice one
Sky Sports F1, 1pm Friday

Newly-crowned world champion Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team were strangely off the pace in Mexico last time as Red Bull and Ferrari appeared to comfortably have their measure.

And there's no guarantee they will bounce back in Brazil this week, with the somewhat rustic Interlagos circuit anything but typical of today's F1 calendar.

Mexico winner Max Verstappen and his Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo dominated the early running last time and the Dutchman could be value to top the first practice session.

The long flat-out uphill blast that ends the lap at Interlagos will hurt the underpowered Red Bulls, but on the first day of practice Mercedes and Ferrari tend to turn their engines way down.

The rest of the twisty circuit should play to Red Bull's strengths, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they found themselves on top, for the first day at least.
