Nacho Elvira has been given the opportunity to enjoy some revenge on Jeunghun Wang in the first round of the Hassan II Trophy and the Spaniard can be fancied to take it with both hands.

Elvira was on the brink of winning his maiden European Tour title at this venue in 2016 before Wang stole the trophy with some dramatic late fireworks. Three years later, Elvira has returned to Es Salam in fantastic form, while Wang appears in disarray, so expect the Korean to be left behind in their 1.05pm meeting.

Elvira, second, second and sixth in his last three European Tour outings seems a serious contender for the Hassan crown this year, but Wang has missed seven of his last ten cuts and finished no better than 45th in that period.

Paul Dunne, the third member of the threeball, seems a greater threat to Elvira, but the Irishman has been wild off the tee for around nine months, so the tree-lined Es Salam layout is likely to catch him out somewhere in the round.

The other Hassan threeball bet which appeals is Benjamin Hebert, who has progressive course form figures of 34-19-13 and was seventh in the Maybank Championship in his last outing. The accurate Frenchman can be fancied to boss Paul Waring and Tapio Pulkkanen at 1.05pm (from the tenth tee).
