Highflying Fulham missed their absent talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic when they were held to a 0-0 draw by Derby at Craven Cottage on Wednesday but they can succeed with or without the Serb when facing Preston at Deepdale.

Mitrovic has been immense for the Cottagers this season, scoring 21 league goals, but he sat out the midweek fixture due to illness and Fulham lacked a clinical edge as they dropped two points despite winning the shot count 21 to four.

However, Marco Silva's men delivered a strong performance against the Rams and look worthy favourites against mid-table North End, who are 18 points worse off.

Frankie McAvoy's side executed a smash-and-grab 2-1 success at Middlesbrough on Tuesday, coming from behind to win a contest which was largely dominated by the home side.

However, they lost 2-1 at home to struggling Cardiff last Saturday and are unlikely to take anything from the league leaders.
