Latvia v Montenegro

Sky Sports red button, 7.45pm Wednesday

Montenegro sealed promotion to League B of the Nations League in style with a 4-0 home win over Cyprus in November and they should start their World Cup qualifying campaign by beating Latvia.

Montenegro won two of their three away games in their Nations League group, seeing off Cyprus 2-0 and Luxembourg 1-0, and they drew 0-0 with Azerbaijan despite having a man sent off just before half-time.

They have kept seven clean sheets in nine games and their squad includes Atletico Madrid centre-back Stefan Savic, Lazio midfielder Adam Marusic and Monaco forward Stevan Jovetic.

Latvia are stuck in the bottom tier of the Nations League after drawing twice with the Faroe Islands and taking just one point from two games against Malta.

Finland v Bosnia-Herzegovina

Sky Sports red button, 7.45pm Wednesday

Finland have had some memorable moments in the past few months, qualifying for a major tournament for the first time in their history and beating world champions France 2-0 in a November friendly in Paris.

They defeated Ireland and Bulgaria at home and away in the Nations League and should not be underestimated by visitors Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Midfielder Glen Kamara and striker Teemu Pukki are enjoying successful seasons with Rangers and Norwich and the Finns have won 11 of their last 13 home internationals.

The only blots on that record were narrow defeats to Italy and Wales and it could be a tough opener for Bosnia, who have failed to score in four of their last five games and lost to Northern Ireland in the Euro 2020 playoffs.
