Greece v Georgia

Sky Sports red button, 7.45pm Wednesday

Georgia have earned plenty of praise but no points from their opening two World Cup qualifiers but they can avoid defeat against Group B rivals Greece in Athens.

Missing out on a place at the Euro 2020 was a major blow for Georgia, who lost 1-0 at home to North Macedonia in the Path D playoff final.

However, they appear to be growing in confidence and started World Cup qualifying with a 1-0 loss in Sweden and a 2-1 home defeat to Spain.

Both of those games were evenly contested and Spain needed an injury-time goal from Dani Olmo to snatch the points in Tbilisi on Sunday.

Losing tight games can become a habit but Georgia played some good stuff last week and have an easier task against Greece, who are the section's third seeds.

Greece started their campaign with a 1-1 draw in Spain thanks to a 57th-minute penalty from Anastasios Bakasetas which was their only shot of the contest.

They caused fewer problems for Spain than the Georgians did and look poor value odds-on favourites to follow up with a home victory.

Bosnia v France

Sky Sports Premier League, 7.45pm Wednesday

France have made a slightly uncertain start to qualifying Group D but they can strengthen their position at the top of Group D with a low-scoring success in Bosnia.

Few nations can match the array of firepower at France's disposal but head coach Didier Deschamps is not one for throwing caution to the wind and his tactics often contribute to low-scoring outcomes.

Les Bleus were punished for their lack of a killer instinct when drawing 1-1 at home to Ukraine last Thursday and they were far from scintillating in their 2-0 success away to Kazakhstan.

However, France are a hard team to play against, as they showed when winning the 2018 World Cup, and they can grind out a victory over Bosnia, who kicked off their campaign with a 2-2 draw in Finland.
