Iceland went 2-0 down to Germany inside the first seven minutes of their World Cup qualifying campaign but they face a significant drop in class against Armenia.

A clash with Die Mannschaft is a free hit, or an exercise in damage limitation, for all but the strongest European teams so Iceland should shrug off their 3-0 defeat to Joachim Low's side.

The shock Euro 2016 quarter-finalists have lost eight of their last nine internationals but four of those came at home and away to England and Belgium in the Nations League.

They conceded two very late goals in November's Euro 2020 playoff final against Hungary but can get three points on the board against an Armenia side who needed an 83rd-minute own goal to break the deadlock against lowly Liechtenstein on Thursday.

Ukraine held world champions France to a 1-1 draw on Thursday despite not having a shot on target as Presnel Kimpembe's own goal earned them a point in Paris.

France won the shot count 18-3 and it was a similar story when Ukraine shocked Spain 1-0 in the Nations League in October despite having just two attempts on goal to La Roja's 21.

Andriy Shevchenko's men lost their other five Nations League games and are hard to trust at odds-on to beat a competitive Finland side.

The Finns conceded an 84th-minute equaliser against Bosnia on Thursday, after Teemu Pukki's brace had put them 2-1 up, but they won away to Ireland and Bulgaria in the Nations League and can pick up a point in Lviv.
