France to win European Under-21 Championship
2pts 4-1 bet365

Tournament preview

France's men's team were far and away the best team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the country's under-21 team could collect some silverware of their own this summer.

The European Under-21 Championship starts in Hungary and Slovakia this week with the 16 participating nations set to play the group stage of the competition from 24 March to 31 March.

The eight-team knockout phase will then take place from 31 May to 6 June before the men's European Championship gets underway.

France have not tasted glory in this competition since 1988 but start as favourites and Les Bleus are hard to oppose.

They won nine of their ten matches during qualifying and their squad features a spine of top players, some of whom have turned out for the first team such as Eduardo Camavinga and Jonathan Ikone.

The French also have a favourable draw, with Russia, Iceland and Denmark making up their group.

Meanwhile, Germany have been drawn with the Netherlands, Spain will play Italy in Group B and Group D is the 'group of death' featuring England, Portugal, Croatia and Switzerland.

With an easier draw and a deep squad, France are worth a bet at 4-1 to win the tournament.
