Gareth Southgate will announce England's 26-man Euro 2020 squad on Tuesday afternoon and the Three Lions boss is set to include some of Europe's most exciting young talents.

Manchester City's Phil Foden is 9-2 favourite with Hills to be named Young Player of the Tournament at the European Championship finals and Foden's international teammate Mason Mount is 6-1.

Jadon Sancho, another of Southgate's young Lions, is 12-1 to claim the award, which was won by Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches when it was first introduced at Euro 2016.

Sancho scored twice in Borussia Dortmund's 4-1 German Cup final win over Leipzig earlier this month while Foden and Chelsea star Mount will face each other in Saturday's Champions League final in Porto.

Foden has already enjoyed a glorious 2020-21 campaign, establishing himself as a key player for City and winning his third Premier League title and fourth EFL Cup at the age of just 20.

He was player of the tournament when England won the Under-17 World Cup in 2017, five months after Sancho had picked up the individual award at the Under-17 European Championship.

Mount's Chelsea teammate Kai Havertz is 6-1 to be named as the best youngster at Euro 2020 although his Germany side are in a tough group alongside France and Portugal, whose 21-year-old star Joao Felix is a 10-1 shot.

Barcelona midfielder Pedri, who has impressed Spain coach Luis Enrique, is 8-1 and England have several other eligible contenders in Declan Rice (12-1), Jude Bellingham (16-1), Bukayo Saka (18-1), Reece James (25-1) and Mason Greenwood (33-1).

Getting into Southgate's squad for the finals is the first objective for those young players. On Monday, Coral rated Arsenal's Saka 8-11 and Manchester United's Greenwood 4-6 to make the cut.

The firm cut West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to 1-25 to be named in the England squad after Burnley's Nick Pope was ruled out due to a knee injury.

The tournament will feature some of Europe's brightest young footballers but veteran defender Sergio Ramos has been left out of Spain's provisional 24-man squad for the finals.

Ramos has won a record 180 international caps for La Roja, captaining them since Euro 2016, but he has started only two La Liga games for Real Madrid in 2021 after undergoing knee surgery in January.

"It was a tough decision but it is the best thing for the team," said Spain boss Enrique, whose squad includes Leeds defender Diego Llorente, Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta and Manchester City centre-backs Aymeric Laporte and Eric Garcia.

The French-born Laporte's request to switch his international allegiance to Spain was approved by Fifa earlier this month and Enrique has also selected PSG's Pablo Sarabia and Adama Traore of Wolves, who have made just one international start each.

West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu, a star of Wales's run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals, was a notable omission from the 28-man training squad announced by coach Rob Page on Monday.

Page will make his final selection on Sunday as Daniel James is part of Manchester United's squad for Wednesday's Europa League final and several other Welsh players are still involved in the EFL playoffs.
