England made it five wins out of five in 2021 with a 1-0 friendly victory over Romania in Middlesbrough and they are 8-11 to extend that run in their Euro 2020 opener against Croatia on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate's men, who are 5-1 to win the Euros, needed a 68th-minute Marcus Rashford penalty to break the deadlock and the returning Jordan Henderson had a second spot-kick saved.

England were still missing the Chelsea and Manchester City players who featured in the Champions League final and Harry Kane, the Euro 2020 Golden Boot favourite, was an unused substitute.

Coral make Rashford 10-11 to start against Croatia while Liverpool's Henderson, who suffered a serious groin injury in February, is 5-4 to make the 11.

Jack Grealish won the penalty converted by Rashford and the Aston Villa man is 50-1 to be named player of the tournament.

Scotland, who are in the same group as England at the finals, beat ten-man Luxembourg 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Che Adams.

The Southampton striker is 10-3 with bet365 to be the Scots' leading scorer at Euro 2020 and Steve Clarke's men are 2-1 to beat the Czech Republic at Hampden Park next Monday.
