Leganes v Girona

Eleven Sports, 7.45pm

Leganes have not lost at Butarque since September and are well on their way to securing La Liga survival for another season thanks to their impressive home form.

But visitors Girona have picked up 19 of their 31 points on the road so this is not certain to be a clear-cut home win and, with just two of Leganes's last ten home games featuring over 2.5 goals, that could be the way to go again.

Key stat
Leganes are unbeaten in 13 home games in all competitions.

Athletic Bilbao v Atletico Madrid

Eleven Sports & Premier Sports, 5.30pm

Atletico Madrid's sketchy away performances are undermining their La Liga title push and there is every chance of them dropping points at San Mames.

It has been a disappointing campaign for mid-table Athletic Bilbao but they haven't lost a home league game since October and can hold their own against Atleti, who may not have recovered mentally from crashing out of the Champions League on Tuesday.

1pt 21-10 188Bet

Key stat
Bilbao are unbeaten in their last nine La Liga home fixtures.

Real Madrid v Celta Vigo

3.15pm

Nothing seems to be going the way of Celta Vigo in recent weeks.

The goals are drying up, star striker Maxi Gomez is being linked with a move away and defeat to Real Betis last time out saw them slip into the drop zone.

Now they face the daunting prospect of being Zinedine Zidane’s first opponents in his second spell in charge of Real Madrid.

A miserable season was compounded by successive El Clasico defeats and exits in both the Copa del Rey and Champions League for the hosts, prompting the end of Santiago Solari’s short reign.

But Zidane won three successive European crowns at the Santiago Bernabeu and his new tenure can start with a bang.

Celta have failed to score in each of their last three and are without a win in each of their last five.

New boss Fran Escriba failed to have an instant impact in his first game in charge against Betis, in which they failed to register a shot on target, and his shot-shy side could struggle against a surprisingly resilient Real rearguard.

Only Atletico Madrid (seven) have conceded fewer home goals than their city counterparts this season, who should be confident of shutting out the visitors.

Karim Benzema bagged a brace in Solari’s final game away to Valladolid and, with uncertainty surrounding starts for the rest of Madrid’s attacking crop, he could be a value first-goalscorer bet.

Real Madrid to win to nil

K Benzema to score first

Huesca v Alaves

Eleven Sports, midday

Huesca have belatedly come to life with three wins in their last six games.

Alaves, fifth in La Liga despite a minus goal difference, have won only two of their last ten away games in all competitions.

Their 2-1 win at home to Huesca earlier in the season was tight and the return also promises to be close.

Steve Davies's recommendation
Draw
1pt 11-5 general

Key stat
Alaves’ last five matches have produced just nine goals.
