Kings XI Punjab v Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sky Sports Cricket, 3.30pm Thursday

Sunrisers Hyderabad have responded superbly to the absence of suspended captain David Warner and the early IPL pacesetters can continue their winning run at Kings XI Punjab.

Warner, banned for his part in Australia's ball-tampering scandal, was the leading runscorer in the 2017 IPL but Hyderabad are doing very nicely without him, winning their first three matches.

Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson shoulder the bulk of the runscoring responsibility now and their job has been made far easier by some stunning performances from the Sunrisers' bowlers.

They restricted Rajasthan to 125-9 in their first game of the season, kept a dangerous Mumbai side down to 147-8, and Kolkata managed only 138-8 last time out.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Australian Billy Stanlake are a formidable new-ball pair while Afghan spin sensation Rashid Khan, the fastest man in history to reach 100 ODI wickets, and Shakib Al Hasan are wonderful weapons to have in the middle overs.

Kings XI are in decent fettle with two wins in three games but they are struggling to settle on their best batting order and key man Aaron Finch has been dismissed for a first-ball duck in both of his innings this term.

Recommendation
Sunrisers Hyderabad
2pts 10-11 general
