Jofra Archer has been left out of England's provisional 15-man squad for this summer's World Cup.

The Barbados-born bowler is uncapped for Eoin Morgan's men but was made eligible to play for England in March following changes to residency rules.

Although Archer misses the squad for the tournament, he is included in their 17-man squad for the five-match warm-up series against Pakistan, with Chris Jordan taking up the other spot.

England face Ireland on May 3 before the series with the Men in Green.

Archer and Jordan can still make the World Cup squad, with teams allowed to make alterations up until May 23.

The hosts are 9-4 favourites to lift the trophy with India second in the market at 3-1 and Australia further back at 9-2.

Provisional England World Cup squad: Eoin Morgan (captain), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Tom Curran, Joe Denly, Alex Hales, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood.
