IPL champions Chennai Super Kings have beaten Delhi Capitals twice this season and a place in Sunday's final against Mumbai awaits them if they can complete the hat-trick.

However, Chennai's batting unit has looked creaky at times this season and the hugely experienced Super Kings face a dynamic young Delhi side who saw off Hyderabad in the playoff eliminator.

The Capitals' fearless approach is epitomised by Rishabh Pant, who struck a matchwinning 49 off 21 balls to see off the Sunrisers on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old Pant goes head to head with an India wicketkeeper-batsman who is at the other end of his career but MS Dhoni, at the age of 37, has been brilliant in this IPL campaign.

The Chennai skipper has been dismissed only three times in ten innings, scoring 405 runs including 44 not out off 22 deliveries in the home win over Delhi.

Dhoni smoked three sixes in his unbeaten 37 on a tricky pitch in the qualifier against Mumbai – only two other maximums were hit in the match – and he looks a big price to rise to the occasion again.
