This year's NBA London regular-season game at the 02 Arena is a sell-out but no one could claim the league are sending their finest talents on tour to generate publicity as the Washington Wizards take on the New York Knicks.

The Wizards still have hope of a playoff place in the Eastern Conference, but they are 11th of the 16 teams with an 18-26 record.

They are strong seven-point handicap favourites against the Knicks, though, as the Big Apple outfit are in full tank mode with a 10-33 record - they have lost 12 of their last 13 games.

The Knicks will be even weaker than usual in London after Turkish star Enes Kanter decided not to travel to London for security reasons.

The Wizards will be without Markieff Morris (neck), John Wall (heel) and Dwight Howard (back), while the Knicks are also missing Kristaps Porzingis (knee). Tim Hardaway (hamstring) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) are rated questionable.

Neither side have impressed away from their home courts, with the Wizards 5-18 on the road and the Knicks 6-19. But Washington are in much better form, having won five of their last eight games. It wasn't ideal that they had to go to double overtime in a 140-138 loss to Toronto before this trip but that was another solid display.

With Bradley Beal averaging 24.8 points per game in 44 starts this season, Washington can be fancied to prevail comfortably.
