Nancy host Ajaccio in the second round of the Coupe de la Ligue having defeated Caen 1-0 in the first round of the competition.

Both sides are five games into the Ligue 2 season but visitors Ajaccio have started much brighter and are in fourth position, nine places ahead of Nancy.

Olivier Pantaloni's Corsican side have racked up ten points out of a possible 15 and will be hoping to transfer their strong league form into the league cup.

Ajaccio impressed in defeating fifth-placed Chambly in round one and will be confident of progressing into the third round at the Stade Marcel Picot.

Ajaccio will face stern opposition from Nancy, who have a strong recent record at home having gone eight games without defeat.

However, Nancy look a little short to win given their slow start to the season overseen by new manager Jean-Louis Garcia. Only one win in five in Ligue 2 has seen the pressure mount on Garcia, especially after his predecessor Alain Perrin's heroics at the end of last season saw Nancy avoid relegation.

Ajaccio look worth a bet to upset the odds having lost only one of their last seven games.
