He added that the gelding fly leapt leaving the stalls and ran keenly to the top of the hill. He further added that he had difficulty steering his mount on the bend and running down into the dip. He explained that he had used his whip down the shoulder but got no response so felt it prudent to keep his mount balanced on the run to the line. jockey said gelding hung badly left throughout.)
