Only four take to the stage here and much will depend on which Renneti turns up as the quirky eight-year-old has the undoubted class to win but is just as capable of blowing out.

The Willie Mullins-trained gelding was staying on to good effect in the lucrative €150,000 1m5f handicap on Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown, and despite not making the frame under Ruby Walsh, he was only beaten just under four lengths at the line.

Mullins said: “The ground will suit him and he seems to like Naas so we are hoping for the best with him.”

Fillies have won two of the past three renewals and Aidan O’Brien is hoping that Wild Irish Rose, a daughter of Galileo, can make it three out of four for the females.

The three-year-old seems to take a bit of knowing, but Seamie Heffernan has won on her before and is back on board as she tackles two miles for the first time.

O'Brien said: "She's shown she gets a mile and three-quarters and ran well at Doncaster last time. This will be her first time going two miles and while we can't be sure we think and hope she'll get the distance.”

There are plenty of interesting British-based runners making the trip to Naas, and while the James Fanshawe-trained Return Ace has not been in sterling form of late and has a bit to find on ratings, her trainer is hopeful she can run well.

Fanshawe said: “She had a minor problem after her last run, but is in good form now. She’ll like the ground.”

The field is completed by Henry de Bromhead's Stars Over The Sea. The six-year-old likes to get on with things and was a winner over a mile and three-quarters last time at Killarney.
