Heavy rain has altered ground conditions significantly overnight at Navan with the description changed to yielding, good to yielding in places (from good, good to firm in places) following 22mm in the past 24 hours.

In Britain, Chepstow's Persian War Novices' Hurdle (3.25) is Sunday's feature, and the Grade 2 has been won by the jumping stars Reve De Sivola, Silviniaco Conti and Blaklion in recent years. This year a competitive field of eight runners are seeking victory in South Wales. The Kim Bailey-trained Minella Warrior is the current favourite.

Key trainer quotes for Sunday's action at Chepstow

Charbel, Barney Dwan and the consistent Baron Alco are among the runners in the valuable handicap chase also on the card (5.10), and the Veterans' handicap is also of particular interest (4.00).

Action also comes from Goodwood and Limerick.
