Rajasinghe helped put Richard Spencer on the map when winning the Coventry Stakes last year and the trainer believes Keyser Soze is his leading suspect for Royal Ascot glory this time.

The four-year-old, who finished third in the Spring Cup at Newbury, is a general 14-1 chance for the Royal Hunt Cup on Wednesday. Spencer said: "He's our main hope for the week and should go close.”

Despite being in only his third year as a trainer, Spencer had his first success at Royal Ascot last year with Rajasinghe, who has been ruled out this season through injury, and the trainer is optimistic he can build from that.

He said: "The whole world tunes in for Royal Ascot and we want to prove we can get on this stage and compete. I'm not going there just so that the owners have a day out. We're going there with genuine chances."

A trio of young prospects complete Spencer’s entries, and he has high hopes for all three.

"We've got plenty of exciting two-year-olds coming up. Alfie Solomons finished fourth in a tough maiden at Newbury and has progressed nicely with a win at Newcastle. He has a very good chance at a great price in the Coventry [50-1 bet365, Paddy Power].

"Rumble Inthejungle has improved since his Salisbury win and is certainly in with a chance in the Norfolk on Thursday. Cococabala's won two from four and looked good in his win at Wetherby last week, so he's going for the Windsor Castle."
