Gifted Master looks to gain a second success in the Betway Golden Rose Stakes (3.15) at Lingfield, two years after his first in what is a Listed fast-track qualifier for finals day.

The six-year-old is a familiar face at Lingfield, having finished a narrow fifth to stablemate Encrypted in this race last season, and having run well over 7f on his reappearance from a 131-day break last month.

Trainer Hugo Palmer said of his habitual front-runner: "He's in great order going in now but I'm always inclined to look to my concerns, namely that there looks to be plenty of five-furlong speed in the race and others who like to make the running.

"That said, I'm very happy with him and he looks tremendous. As I said to the owner, it's difficult to walk away from this sort of prize-money in a race that you're favourite for."

The Julie Camacho-trained Judicial, a Group 3 winner over 5f in 2018, will be one of the 11 in opposition and the trainer's assistant Steve Brown said: "We're trying something a bit different with him but, if all goes well, it will open up other avenues going forward.

"We ran him on the all-weather as a young horse and he was impressive in winning a race [5f] at Kempton."

A third Listed race, the British Stallion Studs EBF Gillies Fillies' Stakes (2.10), will see the lightly-raced Magic Lily head a field of 14, including the Aidan O'Brien-trained pair Simply Beautiful and Quote.
