Sun Power heads Hannon team with 2,000 Guineas hope Juan Elcano ruled out

Richard Hannon landed this prize with Boitron a year ago and he is double-handed with Sun Power his leading chance.

The King Power runner finished a neck second at Listed level last time in the Winkfield at Ascot and a big performance is expected from the son of Night Of Thunder.

Hannon, who also runs Sesame Birah, said: "Sun Power has a very good chance. He was just a little bit unlucky to get done late last time in the Winkfield. He's come out of the race well and it looks a good race for him. It's a nice race for Sesame Birah. She won at the track last time, so we're going to have a go at getting some black type."

2,000 Guineas hope Juan Elcano was ruled out by Kevin Ryan this morning due to lameness.
