William Buick continued his blistering run of form with a treble, including a taking success aboard Cotai Beauty in the 5f novice stakes.

Always towards the head of the field, the two-year-old filly cut through the soft ground in taking fashion with Buick nudging her out inside the final furlong for victory by two and a half lengths.

"She's a strong and very well-made filly," Buick told Sky Sports Racing. "She's improved for her first run and the ground was testing but she handled it pretty well."

Buick followed that success with further victories aboard the Robert Cowell-trained Faustus in the 5f handicap and Six Til Twelve, who ran out an impressive winner of division one of the 7f handicap.

Buick has now ridden 15 winners in the last two weeks, with his last triumph here bringing up 50 for the season and extending his lead atop the jockeys' championship standings.

The rider was seven winners clear of Oisin Murphy on 43 before the start of Windsor's evening meeting.

Luisa cuts through mud

A pre-race deluge did nothing to affect the prospects of Luisa Casati, who proved far too good for her four rivals in the 1m2f fillies' novice.

Just minutes before the second race on the card, Lingfield was on the end of a torrential downpour which led to an easing of the ground from good to soft to soft all over.

Winning rider Hector Crouch, who celebrated his first win at Royal Ascot with Surefire in the King George V Handicap, told Sky Sports Racing: "The race cut up plenty but she travelled well and showed a likeable attitude."
