Listed double for Murphy as Katara and Withhold strike in feature races

The market proved right for the two Listed contests on the eight-race card as Katara and Withhold justified their positions at the head of the betting under champion jockey Oisin Murphy.

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Katara, owned and bred by Al Shaqab Racing, struck on her first start in Listed company in the 1m4f British Stallion Studs EBF Chalice Stakes, a race won by Stoute with Queen’s Best in 2007.

A drop in grade did the trick for the Roger Charlton-trained Withhold, who showcased stamina in abundance to make all in the MansionBet-sponsored Further Flight Stakes over 1m6f, which is normally held at Nottingham.
