Klassical Dream's most notable contribution to the game, until this week, was as Ruby Walsh's final winner at the Cheltenham Festival.

They painted a great picture that day, those bright red silks turning for home in pristine condition while the others were spattered with muck.

But the horse disappeared down a well the following season. Time went by, new stars emerged. Two festivals rolled by without a mention of his name. In the words of those noted form analysts Shakespears Sister, he was history, like the Dead Sea Scrolls.
