'He's one of our top novices' - Lofty targets for Grade 2 winner Eldorado Allen
The Tizzard camp have sky-high hopes for Eldorado Allen over fences this season and the six-year-old enhanced his lofty reputation with victory in the Paddy Power-backed Grade 2 novice chase.
The winner's task was made easier when the strong-travelling leader Gumball fell when in front at the penultimate fence, leaving Eldorado Allen clear to register a 19-length victory over Quel Destin.
It was an excellent jumping display from John Romans and Terry Warner's striking grey, whose season will be tailored around returning to Cheltenham for the Arkle in March, for which he is a general 16-1 chance.
