Henderson and his wife are absent but course treats the happy couple kindly
The friendly text sent from Kempton clerk of the course Barney Clifford to Nicky Henderson on Saturday morning
Nicky Henderson was due to be married at noon.
The anticipated tweet from Unibet to confirm he had said, "I do", and that his beloved had done the same, did not materialise. In its absence we must assume Chef Des Obeaux will enter the record books as the champion trainer's first winner since tying the knot to Sophie Waddilove.
Speaking on Friday, Henderson observed he had not missed a Kempton meeting "in yonks".
