Even So the best on show in Irish Oaks but the form looks hollow

An Irish Oaks without Love, Fancy Blue and Alpine Star meant the race was always going to be below par for a Classic, and it was very much a victim of the times.
So with that said, what did Even So actually achieve in winning?
Obviously the step up in trip has suited the daughter of Camelot and she comfortably beat favourite Cayenne Pepper who, unlike Epsom Oaks runner-up Ennistymon, arrived into the race fresh and well and had no excuses. It all went pretty smoothly for the winner.
