Cup campaign on agenda as Mojo Star completes bittersweet Classic double

Finishing second in two Classics is no mean feat but there was a sense of what might have been among the Mojo Star camp, after their Derby runner-up filled the same position in the Cazoo St Leger.

Magnanimous in defeat, trainer Richard Hannon offered no excuses for the son of Sea The Stars, but there was certainly no high-fiving.

"Once we get past the initial disappointment of finishing second, it's a great effort and he's a very good horse," said Hannon. "He ran a super race and there were no excuses – that's the worst thing really!"
