Chief keeps Gethings on a high after low spell

Since being unshipped in controversial circumstances at Hereford in mid-January, the fickle wheel of fortune has spun in conditional jockey Ciaran Gethings’ favour and the victory of Triple Chief in the 2m3f handicap chase was his tenth since then.
Gethings was unbalanced aboard Deckers Delight and suffered abuse on social media as a result.
He said: “It was horrible at the time as everyone seemed to go overboard but it’s all in the past and I don’t see the same people congratulating me on riding winners.
