'It's nice to hit some proper form' - Olly Murphy's hot winning streak continues
Olly Murphy's red-hot form continued with a fourth winner in the last four days after Allavina's success in the 2m1½f mares' novice hurdle.
Her victory by a length under Aidan Coleman added to a Hereford double on Monday and a winner at Plumpton on Wednesday for the Warren Chase Stables trainer.
Explaining the recent good form of his yard, Murphy said: "I gave all mine an early flu jab which was a big decision at the time, but it's nice to see that they're running well and in good nick now. There is still a long way to go in the season but it's nice to hit some proper form.
"Allavina is a really nice mare and we were very sweet on her today. She may have an entry at Cheltenham, but something like the Mares' Novice Hurdle Finale at Newbury may be right up her street."
Sweet day for Godfrey
A memorable day for Ben Godfrey saw him ride the first treble of his career, lose his 7lb claim and win a Mars Bar in the process.
Godfrey's victory on Gustavian in the 2m1½f handicap hurdle saw him win a bet with fellow conditional jockey Niall Houlihan on who would be the first to 20 winners.
"About two months ago we had a bet on it. We came into today both on 19 and luckily I got the win first so I get the Mars Bar," said Godfrey, who also won on Lily The Pink and Swincombe Fleat, all for trainer Anthony Honeyball.
"If only every day was like this! Anthony has been such a great boss to me and it makes my life easy riding these good horses."
