No current jockey has had more royal winners than Frankie Dettori, who has struck 75 times at the meeting, 12 more than his nearest rival Ryan Moore, and was crowned top rider for the last two years.

Dettori has already struck twice at this year's Royal Ascot meeting, and will be on the lookout for his next winner with six rides on Thursday.

Royal Ascot Thursday: Frankie Dettori's rides

Snapraeterea
Hampton Court Stakes (3.05)

Dettori has already paired up with Joseph O'Brien once this meeting, but will be hoping to come out of this race better than Thunder Moon's seventh on Tuesday. It will be a big ask for Snapraeterea, but the three-year-old colt has only run once over this distance and came home third in a Group 3 race last month.

Gloria Mundi
Ribblesdale Stakes (3.40)

The Gosden-Dettori team have won the last two runnings of this Group 2, and will be looking to land the hat-trick with the progressive Gloria Mundi. The filly suffered no shame in defeat when losing by a neck last time in Listed company, and Dettori will be hoping this won't be the only time today he will hit the post first in the yellow and black silks of Bjorn Nielsen.

Gold Cup (4.15)

Dettori admitted on Wednesday that he was nervous for this Group 1 contest, and it would be strange were he not to feel the pressure ahead of the race. Stradivarius will be seeking a record-equalling fourth Gold Cup and has been the talk of Ascot ever since Palace Pier took the opening race for the Gosden yard. He faces stiff competition, and potential rain continues to be a threat for his chances of glory.

Britannia Stakes (5.00)

There's a big field for this mile handicap, but 5-1 chance Mithras has won for Dettori before, and will be aiming to bounce back from his last run in the Heron Stakes to return to the winner's enclosure. The ground may also fall in the three-year-old's favour.

King George V Stakes (5.35)

It's a first ride for Dettori on this interesting son of Dubawi, who romped home in his last race by 12 lengths. He will be stepping into handicap company for the first time, so he is tough to assess against proven handicappers such as the Hughie Morrison-trained Surrey Gold. He is stepping up an extra two furlongs on his fourth career start.

Bedouin's Story
Buckingham Palace Stakes (6.10)

Dettori's final ride of the day will be his first for Saeed bin Suroor this meeting. Bedouin's Story missed 2020 but has since won this year, with Dettori partnering the six-year-old in his last three runs in Meydan over the winter. The 9-1 shot is dropping back to seven furlongs in his first run at Ascot since 2019.
