ITV Racing tips: one key runner from each of the seven races on ITV4 on Sunday

1.50 Newbury
Betfair Weighed-In Podcast Weekly Handicap Hurdle, 3m

Sizeable Sam has enjoyed a stellar season so far, winning his last two starts, and bids to make it a hat-trick off a 7lb higher mark following his latest victory at Wincanton last month. His rivals include the consistent Southfield Harvest and unexposed Palmers Hill.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Southfield Harvest

Long way clear of the third last time and this return to 3m can help with further progress.

MansionBet Sidney Banks Novices’ Hurdle, Listed, 2m4½f

Minella Drama has been a model of consistency for Donald McCain this season, finishing either first or second in each of his four starts. One of his biggest dangers, Stoner's Choice, bids for a four-timer.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Minella Drama

May be the only one of the four principals without a novice entry at the Cheltenham Festival but he has the best form thanks to his narrow defeat in a Grade 2 last time.

2.25 Newbury
Betfair Denman Chase, Grade 2, 3m

Dual King George winner Clan Des Obeaux has not been seen since finishing third in the Kempton showpiece in December and lines up in this contest alongside Lostintranslation and Kalashnikov.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Cepage

Up against it on ratings but there are certainly no form doubts following Chepstow win.

2.47 Navan
Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle, Grade 2, 2m5f

The Gordon Elliott-trained Fury Road was fourth ahead of French Dynamite in a Leopardstown Grade 1 last time and they renew rivalries in the Boyne Hurdle. Elliott, who has won the race for the last four seasons, is also represented by dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: French Dynamite

Should appreciate a drop back in trip having found 3m a stretch last time out and he may resume progress after his excellent second here earlier in the campaign.

Betfair Game Spirit Chase, Grade 2, 2m

Altior was diverted from this rescheduled contest but it has still attracted a talented field, including Greaneteen and Gold Cup contender Champ, who drops markedly in trip as trainer Nicky Henderson steps up his preparation for the Cheltenham Festival.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Sceau Royal

Second to Altior in this race last year; no penalty this time and he has leading claims.

3.15 Market Rasen
MansionBet Handicap Hurdle, 2m½f

Gipsy De Choisel was third behind Tolworth winner Metier on his first start for Nicky Henderson in November but will face stiff competition from Ajero, who is chasing a hat-trick for trainer Kim Bailey.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Gipsy De Choisel

Third to smart rival at Ascot on British debut; still highly unexposed; interesting.

3.35 Newbury
Betfair Hurdle, 2m½f

Cadzand won nicely at Kempton over Christmas for Dan Skelton and bids for a hat-trick in this typically competitive contest, which also includes Soaring Glory for trainer Jonjo O'Neill and Mister Coffey.

SPOTLIGHT TIP: Cadzand

There was a lot to like about the way Cadzand powered clear on his handicap debut at Kempton, having travelled sweetly, and that form received a boost when the runner-up Christopher Wood went one better at Musselburgh. The unexposed Dan Skelton-trained six-year-old could still be well handicapped even now 9lb higher.
