This Group 2 has attracted a genuine Group 1 performer in the shape of Al Aasy, who was second behind Pyledriver in the Coronation Cup at Epsom last time and clearly sets the standard.

Al Aasy recorded a Racing Post Rating of 121 on that occasion, which looks strong in the context of this race given the median RPR of all Group 2 winners in Britain and Ireland since the start of 2008 is 116.
