All you need to start your day as Naas hosts intriguing Grade 1 novice hurdle
The Grade 1 Lawlor's of Naas Hotel Novices' Hurdle (1.50) is deservedly the focal point of Naas' seven-race card but the mares beginners chase (3.20) looks a noteworthy contest as well.
Connections of Missy Tata have clearly needed to exercise plenty of patience with the prolific Gordon Elliott-trained hurdler, who has been off off the track since December 2016 but makes her return over fences.
The racing at Plumpton looks above average too and the prospect of French superstar Master Dino making the journey over to line up in the 2m3½f novice chase (1.10) is mouthwatering.
If jumping isn't your cup of tea then Newcastle is the venue for all-weather Flat action.
Going report
Plumpton (first race at: 12.40)
Good to soft
Naas (12.50)
Good, good to yielding in places (Hurdle) and good to yielding, good in places (Chase)
Newcastle (1.00)
Standard to slow

Final thought
Barrington Court would appear to have a golden opportunity in the opening maiden hurdle at Naas (12.50). She was thwarted by 2018 Champion Bumper winner Relegate on her first start over hurdles last month but remains a high class prospect for Jessica Harrington.
