Racing TV and Sky running their own races but both can benefit from ITV

For racing's two dedicated channels, both of them reborn this year, the last two weeks have been significant.

Racing TV, formerly Racing UK, has become the home to Irish racing and was therefore the only place armchair viewers in Britain could see the Punchestown festival.

Sky Sports Racing, formerly At The Races, welcomed Chester to the fold by televising the track's showpiece May meeting plus two days of action from Ascot, which switched from the other side earlier in the year.
