Six ex-Flat performers who can make an impression over hurdles
Paul Nicholls picked out six ex-Flat performers who are at Ditcheat and should be winning over hurdles this season . . .
Bathsheba Bay (RPR 93, formerly with Richard Hannon): “We found he couldn’t breathe properly so we had his wind done, then he was gelded. He's definitely up to winning a novice hurdle.”
Dorah (RPR 84, Archie Watson): “I don’t know too much about her but she looked good when winning a Leicester handicap in May.”
Great Beyond (RPR 89, Roger Charlton): "He hasn’t run for almost a year, after picking up a small injury while schooling. We’ve given him lots of time and I rate him a decent prospect.”
Sir Psycho (RPR 80, Eddie Harty): “Showed a lot of promise in a decent Leopardstown maiden on his only start this year and is well forward, so could start at the first Chepstow meeting.”
Thyme White (RPR 73, Bruno de Montzey): "He was tried unsuccessfully in Group company in France. He's just been gelded so will need a bit of time."
Wild Max (RPR 92, Andreas Wohler): "Dual Flat winner in Germany, who was down the field in their 2,000 Guineas last year. He had a little setback at home, nothing serious, but he’ll be fine."
