Racing is all about taking gambles and Richard Tufft has certainly done that with his best horse Silver Rainbow.

On Saturday, Tufft shelled out £30,000 to supplement the in-foal and in-form filly for Friday's Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York.

Since being covered by her former Charlie Hills-trained stablemate Cable Bay in the spring, the daughter of Starspangledbanner has won handicaps at Newbury and Newmarket before a smooth success at Listed level at Deauville.
