Windsor Castle Stakes

The first two-year-old race of the meeting provided a royal winner in Tactical, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of those in behind improve past him.

Tactical had the stands' rail draw in stall 20, and James Doyle made full use of it. Another furlong should suit, but it looked like everything fell into place, which cannot be said for all his rivals.

Runner-up Yazaman was slowly away and also drawn on the other side in stall five. He made up a lot of ground, staying on through the pack and should relish another furlong. Victory Heights was another who tacked over from the other side and was doing a lot of good late work, so too Get It from stall one. They are all horses to keep onside and could be interesting if in action at Newmarket's July festival.
