Arrogate's class carries him to a mark of 128+ after missing break

Arrogate showcased his huge class advantage to overcome a slow start and still comfortably win the Dubai World Cup on Saturday.

He missed the break and was shuffled back to last within seconds of leaving the gates, with trainer Bob Baffert thinking the race was over there and then. This was not his style of racing and Meydan is notorious for favouring those who race on the pace.

The 1-3 favourite raced wide throughout, covering more ground than anything else, with jockey Mike Smith constantly niggling away in an effort to gradually make up the lost lengths.
