'She might go under the radar' - Graeme Rodway selects his ten

With the Guineas at Newmarket, Longchamp and the Curragh already run and an outstanding four-year-old miler in Baaeed on the scene, it might be worth swerving the three-year-old colts at that distance.

They are probably going to run into Baaeed in all the big all-aged mile races after the St James’s Palace Stakes and I’m not convinced the 2,000 Guineas was as strong as it looked. The fillies' equivalent might be the better race and I’d rather include Cachet, the gritty winner of that.

She will have all the fillies’ Group 1s available to her, so might not run into Baaeed as often as Coroebus and Native Trail. She might be the best female miler and may go under the radar.

must be included after his impressive Lockinge win and it’s worth siding with Newbury second Real World too. Take Baaeed out of that Group 1 and Real World would have run out an easy winner. That was a smart performance, especially as he gets a bit further.

Desert Crown looked an outstanding three-year-old when winning the Dante at York and is preferred to Stone Age for the Derby, while Nashwacan win the Oaks now connections are intending to run her.

Trueshanis the outstanding stayer in Britain and Ireland. He should rack up plenty of points, but his need for good or slower ground means it’s also worth putting in Manobo. The Godolphin colt looked good at staying trips last season and may go for the Coronation Cup.

Every list needs sprinters and I like Tis Marvellous for the King’s Stand Stakes. He loves Ascot and will run plenty of times this season, so should pick up points. Over six furlongs, Minzaalhas a lot more to offer for Owen Burrows after finishing third in the 1895 Duke of York.

Finally, every list needs a flyer and I’ll take one on Israr, who won the red-hot London Gold Cup at Newbury last time and will improve over further. He is out of Oaks winner Taghrooda.

Let’s hope that they all stay fit and healthy because the Ten To Follow is one of the best interest bets of the season. So throw your hat into the ring and get your ten in before the June 2 deadline.

Best of luck.
