Feeling of deja vu as gambling industry looks forward to 2023

It would be hard for the British gambling industry to expect anything but a feeling of deja vu as it looks forward to the next 12 months.

Just as they have for the last two years, operators will be waiting to see what the government's gambling review white paper has in store.

The difference in 2023 should be that the much-discussed and long-delayed document will finally be published, something that was expected but failed to happen in 2021 and 2022. When it finally appears – and that might not be for a few weeks yet given the parliamentary schedule – it will at least provide some certainty for operators.
