Fran Berry picks an all-Irish list from Classic favourites to unexposed maidens
did well to finish second in the Leopardstown Guineas Trial on just her second start having been drawn wide, and she looks a genuine Irish 1,000 contender.
Teresa Mendoza is another filly I like. It will be interesting to see which route Ken Condon goes with her. Will she be a sprinter or miler? She could be very good either way.

Taipancaught my eye in the Ballysax and he could shape up into an Irish Derby contender. He’s quite heavy topped so I don’t know if Epsom would suit.
Thunder Moon is my idea of the 2,000 Guineas winner. He was electric in the National Stakes and ran a super race in the Dewhurst on a day when there was a stand-side bias. He had to make his run in the middle of the track and his effort for third can be upgraded. He could develop into a top miler.
Joseph O’Brien has a couple more to keep onside. Federal won in good style last July and when one of the yard's wins first time out, they are usually smart. My Generation is the other. She was a ready winner of a Listed race at Dundalk in which she never came off the bridle. A line can be drawn through her run in the Leopardstown Guineas Trial.
Queen’s Speech was ultra impressive on testing ground at the Curragh and has a similar profile to her well-touted stablemate Santa Barbara. It will be interesting to see where she fits in for Aidan O’Brien.
Her stablemate High Definition is my idea of the Derby winner. His performance in the Beresford, coming from nearly last, was impressive and he devoured the ground inside the final furlong with that long stride. He’s a worthy Derby favourite and I can’t wait to see how he has developed.
Another of Aidan's, Interpretation, is a potential improver. He is a maiden but he's by Galileo out of a nice French Aga Khan family and is very interesting.
is another potentially smart filly for Ger Lyons. She is a surefire winner of her maiden and she could improve through the season.
