The Irish were once again given a small reminder that the British remain up for the fight as the Anthony Honeyball-trained Sully D'Oc AA provided the travelling team with another winner at the Punchestown festival following his game victory in the 2m handicap chase.

The Brits were humbled 23-5 by their counterparts at the Cheltenham Festival and also saw Irish-trained runners dominate the Grand National at Aintree. But Sully D'Oc AA, owned by JP McManus, provided a second winner of the festival for a select raiding party when running out a two-and-a-quarter-length winner under leading Irish claimer Simon Torrens.

His success followed Clan Des Obeaux's thrilling victory in the Punchestown Gold Cup under Sam Twiston-Davies for trainer Paul Nicholls on Wednesday.

Although Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle outsider Agrapart is the only other British contender to run on Thursday, the British contingent for the remainder of the meeting includes Epatante, Goshen and previous dual Punchestown winner Caid Du Berlais on Friday, while Honeyball and Torrens could team up for more glory with veteran Regal Encore in the 3m7f handicap chase on Saturday.
