Captain Corelli (4.10 Beverley)
15-2 from 18
Course-and-distance winner off a 2lb lower mark in September who has been well supported, despite beating just one rival home at this track a fortnight ago. The Julie Camacho-trained six-year-old finished last on his comeback run last season before winning on his next start at Pontefract which is perhaps what punters have latched onto. That Pontefract success came on good to firm ground which Captain Corelli will get here as opposed to the good to soft which clearly didn't suit last time.
Mcpherson (6.50 Cartmel)
8-1 from 18
Yet to make his mark over hurdles and is down to a career-low mark of 79. Mcpherson has been beaten by a combined 68 lengths in his two starts this year but cheekpieces are applied for the first time here in a bid to spark some improvement.
Attaboyarchie (7.00 Wexford)
7-2 from 16
Second in a bumper to subsequent Grade 1-winning hurdler Good Land on his last visit to this track. Didn't get past the fourth hurdle on only his second start over obstacles at Downpatrick last time but is clearly of interest is getting a clear round.
