Expect Newinn Souly to shoot clear from trap one

NEWINN SOULY crashed out of the Arc National Sprint in the first round on Monday, but can quickly bounce back with a win at Dunstall Park tonight from a brilliant inside draw at 7.39, live on PGR.
In-form Monmore handler Kim Billingham-Hine has enjoyed plenty of success with raiding parties at the Wolverhampton circuit since it opened earlier this year and is again well represented in the six opens on the card.
Her Guys And Dolls champion takes a huge drop in class and, tucked away on the inside for the 270m contest, he can unleash his smart early speed. He is the best bet of the evening.
Kennelmate and current 480m track record holder Pain Barrier is another banker at 7.56 over four bends.
He put a rough ride in the PGR Eclipse final behind him with a brave and game success over course and distance last week. More of the same is expected tonight.
The feature race is the Arc Maiden Trophy final (also over 480m) at 8.31 and, although not quickest on the clock in last week’s heats, a strong vote goes to Julie Bateson’s well-drawn Laughil Larry.
The sole wide seed showed plenty of pace seven days ago and is taken to make all from trap six with plenty of racing room to operate in.
PGR Oaks champion Butlers Lane extended her unbeaten run at Dunstall Park to seven last week and the Nottingham raider can make it eight at 8.47 in a similar bitches’ contest.
Barry Denby’s superstar makes the switch to trap three from six, which can only be seen as a positive for the middle-seed runner. Another smooth success beckons.
There are just five opens at Romford, concluding with the Friday Night 500 Standard final over 400m at 9.11.
Maxine Locke’s Droopys Rarity was the fastest heat winner, but preference is for the well-drawn Vermithor for champion trainer Mark Wallis.
Set to punch up the inside from trap one, he can barge his way to the front before drawing clear down the far side.
The Yvonne Gaskin Memorial Race at 8.19 is wide open, with the inside racing line at the first bend again fancied to prove crucial. A chance is taken on Paul Burr’s Tally Ho Socks from trap one.
Strong over the 400m trip and the only railer in the field, he can run a huge race at a likely big price.
Reigning Coronation Cup queen Fabulous Sonique continues to churn out big runs, and the four-year-old can score again over the 575m distance for Wallis at 8.36.
Sally Johnson’s Rolo Rosie caught the eye staying on behind Fabulous Sonique over six bends last month and gets the vote in the maiden marathon over 750m at 8.54.
