Saturday's betting preview

The Commonwealth Games is nearing its conclusion and the action on the track remains top class with Scotland’s Jake Wightman looking to follow up his surprise victory in the 1500m World Championships.

Elaine Thompson-Hera will also be aiming to double up in the women’s 200m final, having won the 100m earlier in the week.

England’s Adam Gemili and Zharnel Hughes have live chances in the men’s contest while it should be between England’s Keely Hodgkinson and Scotland’s Laura Muir in the women’s 800m final.

In the women’s cricket, England face India in the first semi-final and are 1-2 to progress to the gold medal match.

Renuka Singh has been India’s standout bowler throughout the tournament and is fancied once more to be her nation’s top wicket-taker.

Specialising in swinging the ball, Singh has caused issues for her opponents throughout the three games, taking nine wickets for just 48 runs.

Those include four-wicket hauls against Barbados and Australia and Singh looks the bowler to present the biggest problems to England’s batting line-up.

Later Australia are long odds-on to maintain their undefeated streak when they face neighbours New Zealand for a place in the final.
