Preview

Seamus Power has enjoyed the best 12 months of his career, winning his maiden PGA Tour title last summer and moving into the world's top 50, but a Major debut at Augusta this week is a fresh and demanding challenge.

Power is in a 72-hole match with BoyleSports against Gary Woodland, an experienced Major champion competing in his tenth Masters this week, and the 2019 US Open champion deserves support at 10-11.

Woodland does not boast a great Masters record, but some bright recent form, including fifth place in the Honda Classic, fifth at Bay Hill, and eighth in the Texas Open last time out, hints that this might be the year he makes an impact at Augusta.

Augusta resident Luke List, 33rd in his only previous Masters start and sixth in the 2019 US PGA, can approach this week with confidence after winning his maiden PGA Tour title at Torrey Pines at the end of January. Debutant Talor Gooch, rebuked by Augusta bigwigs on Saturday for wearing shorts on the practice green, seems less likely than List to feature on the leaderboard.

Sam Burns, in red-hot form in practice rounds at Augusta this week, can be fancied against Daniel Berger, while Tiger Woods, badly struggling to walk certain sections of the course on Wednesday morning, can be opposed with 2013 champion Adam Scott.
